"Vallee de Mai" Seychelles Things to Do Tip by iwys

The famous Vallee de Mai on the island of Praslin, is the only place in the world where the giant Coco de Mer grows. This lush, tropical valley is the most important national park in the Seychelles. Early explorers thought that this was the Garden of Eden.

You can see a great variety of wildlife here. As well as the Coco de Mer trees and fruits, I saw Latannyen Lat Palms, Horne's and Seychelles Pandanus, Jackfruit, Bronze-eyed and Green Geckoes and Fruit Bats plus several species of birds, including Seychelles Sunbirds.

Address: Vallee de Mai, Praslin
