coming up a bad cloud in McLean
by b1bob

McLean is rather an upmarket bedroom community in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C. It has become a tradition to visit a university friend up here and go to Slade's American Grill. This one is located at Tysons Corner. There used to be one in Arlington's Ballston Common, closer to the metro line. However, as long as there's a Slade's I'm happy.

A most unusual restaurant called Evans Farm Inn was a McLean instution for 42 years until it closed in 1999.

Tysons Corner is a nice place to shop or just walk around and look.

There may be no monuments or tourist traps in McLean, but it's a nice place to shop and dine.
