"This is basically a brief..." Brussels Local Custom Tip by Krystynn

Brussels Local Customs: 261 reviews and 316 photos

This is basically a brief rundown of my personal recommendation on what to do with yourself/ see here in this lovely city. I hope you won't find my personal taste too far off from yours....

I first learnt about all these interesting things from the 'Mini Rough Guide to Belgium' guidebook (<i>just in case you're wondering</i>).

(1) SHOPPING: Head to Rue des Fripiers and the surrounding area.

(2) RESTAURANTS: If your tummy is growling for some FOOD (<i>ah</i>.. food!), then you've gotta head straight to Place De Brouckčre. I don't think you'd regret it.

(3) FEEL LIKE CHILLING OUT?? Party animals would <i>love</i> to read this.... La Mort Subite, De Skieven Architek, Le Moeder Lambic, De'Ultieme Hallucinatie. Remember these names. You'd know why when you're in Brussels. These cafes are located in and around the Grand Place vicinity.

(4) If you're looking for a 'quieter' evening, may I humbly suggest that you check out the Toone VII? It is basically a traditional '<i>estaminet</i>' (read: a typical Brussels tavern) offering a traditional puppet show. <i>Cool.</i>
