  The beautiful lookout point.

This popular lookout area has significant historical ties to the seaside village.

A pilot station, manned for nearly a century, was established in the 1860s on the hill above the estuary to assist navigation for the increasing and prosperous cargo and passenger trade between the Manning Valley and NSW coastal ports. A small graveyard on Flagstaff Hill remains as a visual remembrance of Harrington's once thriving maritime presence.

Today, its the views from Flagstaff hill that are its most important feature.
