"A Wee Slice of White Sand Happiness" Cagbalete by lekimumu

Looks like I haven't been to a lousy beach at all this year, they're all pretty spectacular! This one is no exception. Notice the fine, white sand (powdery soft), the remoteness of the island, and the gorgeous pine trees by the shoreline. And here I thought I'd only see that in Anawangin (which I haven't seen YET btw :P But you know I plan to!)

Office friends and I hied off the Quezon, which is also Baldo's province...we heard of this beach a few weeks back while we were looking for some other place to spend our weekend. And since we couldn't push through with the Camsur trip, we decided on this. I wasn't sure at first because I haven't heard of it at all, but what little information we could find all spoke highly of it! Sayang hindi lang ako nakapag snorkel kasi malakas yung alon. :( Anyway, we plan to go back to snorkel at Snake and Buntis islands.

We didn't have air-conditioning and we just stayed in a simple nipa hut, but the caretakers were very accommodating. They're all very nice and hospitable! For a place so beautiful and for all our enjoyment, it was still a pretty cheap vacation (we spent about 2k each person for 2 days, and we had lots of extra food left).

I want to go baaaaack!

• Pros:Remoteness of the island, fine white sand, deep blue ocean, friendly people
• Cons:Boat trip going there can be a bit cramped, depending on where you decide to spend the night
