Windischgarsten is the largest village at the holiday region Phyrn-Priel.602m above the sea level,surrounded by mountains like the Gr.Phyrgas(2244m)or the Warscheneck(2389m) and more.Windischgarsten is a perfect tourist destination,summertime and wintertime.Wellness hotels and lot`s to do like skiing,hiking,riding,swimming,climbing etc...
Windischgarsten have been under the Romans(200AD-500AD) a ,,overnightstation`` on the via Norica.Windischgarsten was called ,,Gabromagus``.Windischgarsten is located close to the border between Styria and Upper Austria.
