Karlsruhe (pop. 278,000) is a city in Baden-Württemberg, SW Germany, on the northern fringes of the Black Forest, connected by canal with a port on the nearby Rhine River. It is a transportation, industrial, and cultural center and is the seat of the federal constitutional court and the federal court of justice.
Karlsruhe was founded in 1715 by Karl Wilhelm, margrave of Baden-Durlach, to replace nearby Durlach (incorporated into Karlsruhe in 1938) as the margravial residence.

Very nice clean and safe city, near to the border to France.Worth to visit if you are
around.

I'm sure Karlsruhe is a fine place to study. I know it from business trips, the opera and VT meetings. Strange that Buffalo Bill visited Südstadt, of all places.
