Callander Travel Guide: 17 reviews and 39 photos

Rob Roy country

Callander is a pretty little town on the edge of the Trossachs National Park. Older, British people may recognise Callander as the fictional Tannoch Brae, the town where Dr Finlays's casebook was filmed in the 1960's and early 1970's.
It is also the area where the Jacobite rebel, Rob Roy McGregor, operated and there is a Rob Roy museum in the old church in the town.
There are also many scenic walks that can be started from the town itself:
Callander Crags and Bracklin Falls being two.
Go into the excellent Tourist Information office for maps and advice.
