Chipping Campden

One of the most beautiful towns in the Cotswolds and hence one of the most beautiful in England. The honey coloured Cotswold stone, wisteria hanging from many of the houses and the unchanged nature of the buildings give the place it's beauty. It's wealth (like most places in the Cotswolds) came from wool. It's a great place to use as a base as well as Stratford Upon Avon, Oxford and Blenheim Palace are all within easy reach as is much of the Cotswolds.

Probably the most interesting building in the town is the National Trust owned Market Hall that dates back to the 17th century and has been used as a cover for market traders ever since.

I was intrigued by the name - Chipping Camden - and liked your description of the manor gardens. Seems an ideal location for a BBC period drama!

I once had some very interesting parsnip cake in a tea shop in Chipping Campden - it's a nice place!
