1st Logging Operation on the Mendocino Coast | The Albion Bridge from the Village |
Not much more than a hamlet, Albion began with a man and his saw mill. A sea captain, William Richardson from England, started the first saw mill on the Mendocino coast (but not the last!) in 1853. |
| | Charming little Village Albion consists of a handful of homes overlooking the Albion River & the Albion River Bridge (which was constructed with wood salvaged during WWII), several stores, a post office, a volunteer fire station, and a commercial fishing operation. |
