Ancient and eternal

Plovdiv keeps so much ancient spirit. This is the cultural capital of Bulgaria. You can sea buildings from 19th century and remains from Roman times, even a theater which is still working. And to prove this, The European commission has selected Plovdiv to be European Cultural Capital for 2019 - I'm so proud!
According to English archeologists Plovdiv is the 6-th oldest still inhabited city in the World
"Ancient and eternal" is the motto of Plovdiv.

Plovdiv is also very modern city with big streets and shops,a lot of buisness buildings. Here is the International Plovdiv Fair. Also in Plovdiv take place a lot of festivals and concerts.
And here you can read how tourists see Plovdiv. As she says(Kerry Kubilius) : "This city has more to offer visitors than even Bulgaria’s capital, Sofia"

Full of life

Here I wanna share some helpful links about life - sightseing,eating,nightlife...

Well-deserved accolade for Plovdiv Mira. Sofia didn't get a look in ;-) And Varna didn't really try.

Nice. I forgot about these ruins. Bulgaria is interesting. It has really diverse history, architecture, and landscape. Interesting wildlife too.

Pity that Ciste Banya cannot be used for original purposes anymore. I could immagine fragrance and steam in its historic stones, feeling like back in 16th century for a moment ...
