"A visit to the ex capital" Bonn by mirchica
Bonn Travel Guide: 263 reviews and 861 photos
I’ve heard that Bonn is famous as the “little sister” of Cologne as it stays only 25km south of the bigger brother. Their history mostly based on the time when the Romans were the masters all along the left bank of the river in old Germania. The real rise of the city has started in 1949 when it became the capital of the new "Federal Republic of Germany". During this 42 years period it became one modern place. People have told me that there is nothing interesting there but they are so wrong. I haven’t seen a city along Rheine that is not beautiful. It may not have so many sightseeing but what it has is wonderful.

It is a small German town-resort and it’s like a part of Bonn. I visited it because of Drachenburg Castle but I know... more travel advice

Nice page.
I love that book thing.
Nice little page, Mira!
I am impressed that you went on the funicular in Koenigswinter: we visit quite often as my husband has relatives who live there, but we've never managed to find the station at the bottom!
Maybe we need to try a little harder next time?
Regards
Cathy
