I'm happy being a VT member

Being a VT member for already 4 years (how's passing that time!) makes me really happy. I really take big advantage of the information here, most of the reviews are really helpful and VT is develping every day. I'm really glad being part of that community and especially if I could help people with the experience I have. I have already met few of you and I also found many virtual friends too.Hope that soon I can meet more of you.

Me and my travel partner

Belintash, Bulgaria

Me and my boyfriend like to escape from the rutine days and go different places. We can spend a vacation in a luxury hotel (happened only once,but we can,hahaha) or we can go in the mountain and sleep in a tent. We are very pleased visiting big and noisy cities that tell a lot of history and on the other hand we're really keen on discovering little and unfamous places but amazing and fascinating.
I love traveling with him although I'm more insistent and enthusiastic than him. But it doesn't matter, we spend good time exploring the World. Just wish we could do it more and more every year.

My latest travels

The wonderful Peles castle in Sinaia

Last year was not good for me - I could travel a little around Bulgaria but it is never enough. There are still some places in our little country that must be visited.
Anyway, the only trip abroad we managed to do was to Brasov, Romania. But I don't regret at all that we choosed exactly that destination.
We had so many plans but they always changed and really hope that this year (as always, I believe the new year will be a better one) we can do it better.
I just come back from a business trip in Düsseldorf again and by the way I spend few days in Cologne, Bonn and Vienna. Probably we'll visit my uncle in Thessaloniki too.
I hope the new destinations would be Croatia/ Slovenia or/and probably Sweden...

The 100 National Touristic Places in Bulgaria

Bulgaria ia s beautiful country and besides travelling abroud I love to explore the land where I have grown up.And believe me there are so many places to visit and go around. So the national touristic places in Bulgaria are many more then 100 but they've picked the most interesting ones to put in a little book. When visiting them they stamp you the book on the right place with a seal of that place. Collecting 25 seals you receive a bronze badge,for 50 - a silver one and for all of them - a gold one:). Every year comes out a new eddition and one or two places could be changed.
Already I have 61 so not much left ;)

Hello Mira,
Thank you for your quick reply to my question regarding Bus Schedules from Rodopi bus station.Lovely to hear of someone who loves travelling.My wife & myself love travelling but the difference between you and us is ,you hopefully have many years in front of you,whereas most of our years are behind us. We are both 70 years+ and we live in Scotland.I have just posted a question on the Plovdiv Forum which you could probably answer.

Hi Mira, just read your home page, I like your attitude to travel , especially at such a young age. We were in Turkey 2 years ago and I now wish to visit Bulgaria, Rumania and surrounding countries, From Perth, Western Australia this will be a huge trip. will be back to visit your pages. Mike
