Puerto Rico-La Isla del Encanto!

by Newyoricangrl - last update: Feb 15, 2008

The land of my parents.

View from my balcony in Hotel-Caribe Hilton.
Puerto Rico is a beautiful small island in the Carribean. Its the land where my parents were born and raised. Its the land where most of my family lives. Its a land that is diverse as they come with a mixture of European/Spanish, African and native Indian heritages. The culture, the traditions, the wonderfully friendly people, the mix of old and new, the fabulous weather, the beatiful scenery, the crystal clear blue water, are just some of the few things that make people love Puerto Rico. Not only is it a magical wonderful place for Puerto Ricans but for non-Puerto Ricans who go with expectations and come back shocked and in love with this beautiful lil island. Is it any wonder why Puerto Ricans are such proud peoples. ;)
Crystal Clear, beautiful and Blue!

Crystal Clear, beautiful and Blue!

The water is warm, crystal clear and soooooo blue. So clear you can see straight down into it. Unfortunately I have yet to get to go to the Luminecent Bays where the "water" glows. But I plan to make that a must see next time. :)
Puerto Rico at night.

Nights are as beautiful as days.

The nights in Puerto Rico are just as beautiful as the days. The nights are still warm enought to stroll around in your best summer threads but the cool breeze feels soooooo good. Night life is not just about clubbing even though Puerto Ricans LOVE to partys...nothing like some friends, some drink, and alot of salsa dancing. :) But if you're not into that scene what a about a nice stroll on the beach or a nice rest in a hammock while coqui's sing you to their lullaby. :)
