South America is a continent that is my passion. Any highlights are personal in nature, but these would be some of mine.

Brazil’s Amazon region also an amazing experience. There’s lots of animals that can often be seen in the rainforest, but a visit is more about experiencing quite how amazing the jungle is.

Torres del Paine National Park (Chile) is South America’s best hiking destination. A landscape of spectacular granite peaks will enthrall all visitors, and there are some wonderful week long hiking tours. The Park is increasingly aimed at the luxury travel market.

The Galapagos Islands are many people’s first choice for a tour to South America. The amount of animals and wildlife in the Galapagos Islands is quite bewildering – there’s sea lions, whales, tortoises plus a huge range of birdlife. There are a lot of concerns that the environment - if you do visit, check your travel agency's responsible travel policy.
