New Year's In Freetown, Sierra Leone!

Atlantic Ocean Beach Time on New Year's Day!

Wow, what a beautiful opportunity to enjoy the beach from the African Coastal side of the Atlantic Ocean in January on New Year's Day!

It was pretty crowded, but you have enough room to carve out a nice portion of the beach for you, family, and/or friends. Most of the Freetown residents do not work on New Year's Day, so many use the time to gather at the beach or to play soccer/football.

Even as the day turns to night, the beach area stays packed with people gathering by the ocean. Music, laughter, and dancing and fellowship is abound.

If you don't like crowds, New Year's in the evening in Freetown (on the oceanfront beach main strip) is not the best choice for a beach retreat.

If you're a people watcher or just enjoy being in the moment of good fellowship and fun by the beach during the day or evening, this is a great place to soak up the nice "Sweet SALeone" African vibe!

I had a terrific time bringing in the New Year in Sierra Leone!

Pros:"Great access to Atlantic Ocean African Beachfront Activity; Very warm climate and cool ocean water!"
Cons:"Very bumpy, bumpy roads; limited paved roads but it's a government priority so this is great news!"
In A Nutshell:""SWEET SALEONE" is indeed a truly sweet jewel spot to visit in Africa!"
