Not a hot spot for tourism but interesting | Grenoble night view from Bastille fortress |
Capital of the Alps and of the Dauphine, Grenoble is an interesting city, more interesting than it could appears after a superficial look.
- eart of the Alps: eleven museums, good cafes and restaurants - interesting views (cable-car up to the panorama of the Bastille, (Grenoble fortress) Vercors, Belledonne and Chartreuse), architecture, ... - and good ... food (could be expensive)
Grenoble city: a mix between past and future. This is a flattest town in France, rounded by mountains, with the longest straight avenue (8kms) |

Beausoleil Wed Sep 9, 2009 23:23 UTC If you are ever in eastern Ohio in the USA, you may go on a snipe hunt in place of a dahu hunt. Someone always falls for it. LOL | Nemorino Wed Jul 8, 2009 13:13 UTC Your tips bring back nice memories of my visits (years ago!) to Grenoble and the Chartreuse. My younger son once spent a year as an exchange student in Grenoble and liked it very much. | Sagespot Sun Mar 8, 2009 01:53 UTC That video is amazingly beautiful!
