Colombia, a secret to be revealed

Here is Colombia, the only country in South America that has both a Pacific and Caribbean coast.

A country with a population of more than 41 million people, which has 85 different ethnic groups, and 66 dialects creating a true melting pot of European, Indigenous and Afro-Caribbean communities.

Colombia is the Latin America’s oldest and most stable democracy, and a strong and sound economy, and is much more...

• It is the second country in the world in biodiversity, after Brazil, and the first in native species.

• It produces the richest coffee in the world, a product that is symbol of our country everywhere.

• It is the second flower exporter in the world, after the Netherlands, and the main U.S. supplier.

• It is the major world source of emeralds; an important producer of platinum, gold, and silver, and the world's third largest banana producer.

Colombia is also a land full of talent, a country proud of its laborious and charming people.

• Colombian Nobel prize laureate Gabriel García Márquez, the renowned author of “One Hundred of Solitude”, is the most read novelist in the world.

• Colombian pop-singers Shakira and Juanes are ones of the most popular Latin American artists in the world.

• The work of the Colombian painter and sculptor, Fernando Botero, is recognized and admired worldwide.

Maybe you have heard of Colombia. Maybe you have been to this warm and friendly country, or have visited its main tourists attractions such as its vibrant and modern capital city Bogotá, the colonial and romantic Caribbean town Cartagena de Indias, or the green and beautiful Coffee Region.

This time we would like to show you a different Colombia because such a rich and big country has a number of tourist destinations that are worth to visit.

Let's begin in the North, with Providencia island and the magic Guajira. Let's talk about beatiful colonial towns like Barichara and Villa de Leiva, with the mysterious places that surround them. Let's walk through wild nature in Sierra de la Macarena, Parque Nacional Los Tuparros in Vichada, and the Colombian Amazon jungle. Let's know a typical coffee town as it is Salento and its mysterious fog forest. Let's live the cowboy life in Llanos Orientales and discover the rivers and mountains of Río Claro, Antioquia.

It is a very complete menu. Don't tell that we didn't offer many different options to choose. So, what are you waiting for? It's time to come to Colombia! It's time to find "El Dorado" that was hidden for centuries in the northern corner of South America! Once you are in Colombia you are the owner of this magic treasure. Don't miss it!
