UNSPOILT NATURAL RESOURCES

Devonport is in the centre of Tasmania's North Coast hence it has become another valuable coastal city to about 25,000 people.

With a modern airport and the Bass Strait ferry terminal linking the city to Melbourne, Devonport is an arrival point for a large number of visitors to Tasmania each year. It is the perfect place to make your base in Tasmania's North-West where you'll discover some of Tasmania's best national parks, food and wine experiences and history and heritage.

One of the gems near here is World- Heritage listed Cradle Mountain National Park, one of Australia's best known wilderness region with magnificent unspoilt beauty that attracts visitors to the area.

The lovely shores, beaches and equally captivating mountain, rolling hills filled with produce are teamed up with rich arts and crafts and heritage homes!

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:unspoilt natural resources, fresh air and produce
  • Cons:not a lot of dining options, can be crowded
  • In a nutshell:Devonport is gateway to a lot of beauty - coastal, mountains & wilderness.
