Getting TO/AROUND: Easiest way (I think) to navigate your way around Paris. All major sights and areas are covered by the metro. Tickets cost E 1.30, a carnet of 10 tikets cost E10.50 and Paris Visite passes cost E8.35, E13.70 & E18.25 for 1,2&3 days respectively and cover zones 1-3. More passes can be found on the website. you can pick up a map at any metro station. Once you get the hang of it it's a cheap and efficient way of getting around I didn't get lost once (yeah me).

Getting TO/AROUND: Beauvais Airport is the main Paris airport that many budget European airlines fly into. Basically it looks like a cattle shed, but the fares are cheap and actually has all the amenities you need, resaurant/cafe, shop seating areas,souvenir shops (for those little extras).

Getting TO/AROUND: A shuttle bus is available from Beauvais airport to Port Malliot near the metro. the buses depart 20mins after each flight arrival. The journey takes around 45 min.Tickets cost E13 each way and can be bought from the ticket office outside the airport or from the driver in Paris. The drop off point is a little out of it if you don't know where you are going, but we found many helpful French people who will point you in the right direction (they must be used to it).
