AN ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE

Butrint is an archaeological site in Albania.
The oldest archaeological evidence of occupation dates from between 10th and 8th centuries BC. This was called Bouthroton.
It has been inhabited by the ancient Greeks, Romans, the Bulgarian empire, Byzantines, Venetians, the French and the ottomans until Albanian independence in 1912.

Hi! I'd love to see more of your trip to Butrint - I worked there in 2002, and it'd be great to see how it's changed!
