Nightlife Spot: Adult Spot
THERMOS DAY- Contrary to another tip posted here, Thermos Day is very clean (yes, of COURSE wear flip flops!). No matter when you go, the men are extraordinary. Each time I've gone I couldn't believe that an American lad NOT Dutch appearing (tall, lanky, thin, huge-hung) was coupling with the stuff of dreams and calendars. They feature a hot tub, swimming pool, lunch room, hair salon (and the two times I've gone for haircuts, both were brilliant!), labywrinths, private cabins, sex cinema and more.
THERMOS NIGHT- Cruisier and more intense than the day version, and also smaller.
BOOMERANG- This Warmostraat sauna is much smaller than the Thermos saunas. It's well located, but offers little more (if anything) than the many labywrinths at the sex clubs on the same street, such as Cock Ring, Eagle, Dirty Dicks, etc. Less men, less choice, less play space.
DRAKES- Advertised as "Glory hole heaven", Drakes is precisely that... 3 banks of multiple private video cabins plus one tiny place space in the back, usually empty even at peak times. This is all about glory hole blowjobs. With so much syphillis making its way through the Amsterdam sex scene, it is probably only a good idea if you intend to be on the *** end of these couplings (not the mouth end).
4 MEN- Several couches & some darker seating in the back of a 1 room sex cinema. Mostly for jackoffs. Mostly older men. If you're into putting on a wank show, this is ok.
LE SALON- Video cabins, some with glory holes, lots of steep, windy stairs between sections, & mostly straight porn (an oddity, given the place is named for William Higgins, gay porn producer). Most booths have glory holes. You can also stand behind darkened glass in a dark room and have your bits sticking out through a glory hole into the cinema.
ADONIS- On the Warmostraat, this sex cinema is mostly 1 large cinema, although there is a dark room behind the screen. Comfy couches, mix of sex tourists. Mostly JO show & tell. Nonetheless, this is the one I had the most fun in, on 2 occasions.
