The Rutland Arms Hotel

I think this is the best place in Bakwell to enjoy afternoon tea. Sink into a sofa in front of a roaring coal fire and listen to the ticking of the grandfather clock.

Medieval Bridge over the Wye

Great for spotting trout and grayling but be careful of traffic.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Attractive, variety of pubs/restaurants, the Bakewell Pudding, lots of walks from here possible
  • Cons:Traffic and a few too may souvenir shops
  • In a nutshell:Even Bank Holidays don't spoil it too much!
