Elegant and Sophisticated

Feels like there's money!

Alicante city doesn't seem to be particularly touristy, not compared wirh Granada, Seville, Santiago or even Malaga. People dress well, prices are high and the place looks immaculate, if not particularly stunning.
My favourite things were the castle dominating the harbour and the marina. I was a bit disappointed with how small the old town is, and a slightly limited choice of restaurants. I did find one restaurant that was EXCELLENT so check out my tip!

I agree with you on Mare Meua. It's a pity you didn't try nou Manolin or Piripi, the best restaurants.
