Those who love nature these volcanic islands are must see! Sea with whales and green fields and forests with numerous flowers and plants gave me many memorable moments as well as Fresh fruits, sea food and meat produced on island!
One thing that fascinated me was hot springs, I could have stayed there whole day!

Roads are narrow but in good shape so you can rent a car if you want to. But on the other hand I saw the whole island of Sao Miguel but using public transportation and taxes; saved a big amount of money and had really tome to explore and see the places where I visited.. without worrying ;)

Pros and Cons

Pros:Green nature, ocean, great traffic culture
Cons:Narrow roads

I am actually on the Azores right now and i come here very often for work.
Stayed at the Lince many times too :)
