Today November 5, 2008
Barack Hussein Obama chosen as president-elect - a day which makes all american citizens justifiably proud. We have proven that a minority citizen can be chosen by our fellow americans because we believ all humans are equally eligible to participate in this government.
The peak of all colors - so many shades of red , yellow, greeen, brown everywhere. Washington DC is a verdant city and if you wish, take a drive on GW Parkway, or tidal basin , or on a MARC train or around the Whitehouse and you see splashes of all colors. OK , not the most specatacular unless you chance upon the perfect visage, but pretty darn good in many places. With gasoline prices much lower now, no excuse to keep your car parked today!
So much to do . I have loved living here since 1999..
I have gleaned so much from VTers, I am very happy to share what I know of this area.

Often, I stumble into buildings, places and monuments I find fascinating and are no longer in the lime-light. I love these discoveries, well known to many but now, on my list also
