Haigerloch is a Town in the Swabian Alb, situated in the steep, shelly, limestone valley of Eyach.

Haigerloch, means 'GROVE OF HERON'S" and was mentioned as far back as 1095.

A nick-name for the Town is ...."The Rock" small Town.

It is believed, the 1st Castle would have been built near the Romerturm

Haigerloch was a location of the uranium project on building an atomic bomb, something that did not succeed in happening!

    Another little gem, Dee. That Baroque/rococco church is extremely ornate but beautiful. Makes you wonder how such a little town could afford such a spectacular church.

    This town has a funny name because Loch means hole in German. Looks like a nice place, though.
