A short visit.............................

Apeldoorn is a large city of approx 155,000 people.

It is located about 80kms east of Amsterdam.

My reason for visiting here, was to visit Het Loo Palace, so what I saw of Apeldoorn, was the Train station, and the sights looking out of the Bus window.
I saw the monument where the tragic Queens Day accident happened. So sad, lots of wreaths there. I also saw lots of lovely homes and gardens.

    The Palace looks fantastic, a pity no photos are permitted inside.Missed your stop, reminds me when we were in China, the conceirge used to write directions in Chinese on the back of hotelcard.

    Hiya, glad you liked the Palace. It is a great to walk in & around it. Too bad the 1st bus driver couldn't understand you. :( Next time you should go to the monkeyzoo. :)

    Certainly impressive. How to call a palace "home"? think I prefer the house on the cover page.
