Tournai Travel Guide: 144 reviews and 383 photos

Tournai is located on the Scheldt River, 10 km from the French Border.

In the Middle Ages it was an extremely important center of wall tapestry weaving.

I found Tournai had plenty of interest to see.

Thank you for visiting my Beersel page.
Tournai is indeed an interesting town but, shame on me, I did not visit the cathedral. When I see all these "macarons" I should visit the city.
It's a fact that in Flanders bell towers from the cathedrals and befrois-belfry towers were competing (same as in Tuscany).

Lovely little page with oustanding photos of this gem in the french-speaking part of Belgium.
