THE GORGE.................

Was the main reason for coming here.

Well worth while, but be prepared for plenty of steps.

We are only travelling a short 15 kms to ALTENMARKT IM PONGAU where we are going to stay the night.

Ah, those steps ... Never tried counting them, but my legs start hurting again when I think of the steps ...
Very lovely gorge indeed. We've been there several times, but it always amazes us again and again ...
We've been to several gorges several times and they're always very well maintained. Big 'thumbs up' for the excellent job done.

They certainly have gone to a lot of trouble to make these gorges accessible.

  It must cost an awful lot of money to build these paths, and how do they do it! Must be a very difficult job. I find them amazing, as we haven't anything like it in Oz.
