We arrived at Messina in Sicily, via Cruise Ship.

Ours was one of the larger Ship's and that is why this was our Port,

smaller Cruise Ship's were able to anchor in the harbour at Taorima,

and passenger's be taken ashore by Tender.

Messina, on 1st sighting didn't do much for us, and as we walked the streets,

our view didn't change

We are on the Ship again, and cruising along the coast of Italy.
We are quite close to the coast, and are able to see the land and highways easily.

In the morning, we are in the port of CIVITAVECCHIA, so we can visit ROME
and the VATICAN CITY

Pros and Cons

In a nutshell:Busy, crazy traffic, nothing special!

Madonna Della Lettera - what a sight and welcome to the harbour!! Oh my god.... you saw a Sicilian cart!!! I love them to death, had one as a kid and that alone made me desperately want to go to Sicilia! Still not been there, but... you never know :-)
