Located between Brisbane & Sydney in New South Wales, Coffs Harbour has a sub-tropical climate, that makes it a desirable location for holidays as well as for living.

Population in this area, is about 100,000.

Surrounding Coffs Harbour are
15 National Parks.....................37 State Forests..........................
44kms of beautiful Beaches........................
World Heritage Area.......................What more could you ask for?

Nearby is Nambucca Heads, Woogoolga, Bellingen/Dorrigo, Urunga, and other smaller seaside villages.

Bananas, Avocado, Dairy & Beef farms are to be seen on a drive through the nearby countryside.

There are several good lookouts also.
If you wish to spend some money, then there are plenty of activities and places to visit, THE BIG BANANA, being the one that everybody knows about.

Still on our seaside holiday, we are going to a small village know as Red Rock

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Nice town with plenty to do
  • Cons:Quite a high rainfall area, so expect heavy rain
  • In a nutshell:A nice place to chill out, more than Banana's here

Thanks Regina. The countryside around there is very pretty. The waterfall photo's are scanned, need to go back with the digital camera to get a better photo.

I guess with all the rain, the vegetation and scenery had to be great. Nice pictures and comments to guide me through the tour.

I love this part of Australia. And you have illustrated that there is far more to see around Coffs than meets the eye. Another great lesson in Australiana.

What a fantastic page!!! The road from Sydney to Brisbane seems very interesting! I'll look for a tour there the next time I'll be in Australia!

Love the Clog Barn with the miniature Dutch buildings. In Holland there is also miniatures in Madurodam, which is quite famous. Also thanks for checking out my Kinderkijk page, with real Dutch windmills.

I shall studiously avoid the Coramba lookout, if ever I find myself with spare time in Coffs Harbour! :) You've confirmed my thought that I should spend more time around Coffs though.
