Amsterdam is famous for the Red Light District and the Coffeeshops, so many visitors are surprized to discover that this is also a beautiful historical city with wonderful arcitecture and charming canals. Because of the connection to the earlier dutch colonies this city is a true meltingpot. I've never seen a city where people with different racial and cultural backgrounds mingle so easily. I've lived in Amsterdam for a year, and I really liked the city! |
