The tro-tro from Takoradi to Busua was crowded. There was a baby saying ba-ba-boom the whole way and we were saying it back to her. Once we got to Busua, we were relieved. We'd spent 3 days on buses coming doing from Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso and had gotten delayed when I ended up in the hospital in Bolgatanya, in northern Ghana, with a bout of typhoid. (I say Burkina made me sick, Ghana made me better.)
Once there, the Busua Inn was great, the food at all the places we ate fantastic and the trip out to Abokwa Island the fishermen took us on was amazing. We made friends with some of the locals and had a great night at the reggae bar with a bonfire and.
We only spent about 3 days in Busua, but we all want to go back, especially when it's not the rainy season. We loved it here!
