Massachusetts is my home state, and despite many complaints, I am happy to be living here. There is such a great texture to the place, especially along the coast, where I've lived most of my life. Boston, the North Shore, South Shore and Cape Cod are all dense in culture and history. Each city and town has it's own little quirks and character. |
| | When to visit My favorite season here is the Autumn. The weather is pleasant, the leaves are turning, and there is lots going on. Summer, however, is the time to be here if you want to explore the harbor via boat.
I suppose summer is also the best time to visit Cape Cod, but it can be much quieter if you go in the off season, like late September and October (try Halloween in Provincetown!). |
| | Seafood!!! Of course, the food to eat here is seafood. With several active fishing communities along the coast, the seafood is as fresh as it comes (in most decent restaurants). You could even try catching some fish yourself by going out on a deep sea fishing boat, or fishing from the shore. |
