Hello traveler and welcome to my travel pages. I hope you find some useful tips and I always appreciate feedback and comments! |
Next Trip: Acadia, Maine road trip Our next trip will be a road trip up to scenic Acadia and Bar Harbor along the rocky coast of Maine. We have committed to spending as much time as possible with our Newfie who has lymphoma, so we are packing up the pooch and are renting a beautiful pet friendly cottage on the ocean.
I'm looking forward to the wildlife and beauty and great Maine beer and seafood. |
| | Most recent trip: Just back from the Shamrock Shor I am once again sad to be back from a rich and much too brief visit to Ireland. We hiked and celebrated and drank much Guinness. Friends from Germany came over for a few days and really put my pub tolerance to the test. I'm happy that we found some great walks and hikes and visited some good restaurants I had never been to before. The weather wasn't great and it even snowed one night! It didn't stop us from having a fine trip. I have a bunch of new tips to post and as usual can't wait to get back to Ireland. |
Second most recent trip: St. Augustine My last trip was a short one to visit my friends in St. Augustine, Florida over New Years. We ate great food and drank too much beer and had a fine time in the warm(er) weather. We were all hung over on New Years day so we lounged on the couch and watched an Anthony Bourdain marathon. I want his job. |
| | A special trip: St. Augustine Florida I recently got married on Vilano Beach, in St. Augustine. We had a fantastic time and St. Augustine has become one of my favorite places to visit. Despite our wedding being pushed back a day due to a tropical storm, we got great weather and did some cool off-the-beaten-path activities. As usual, I was impressed with the great food we had down there, and how friendly and laid back people tend to be.
It's likely that I will visit there once a year or so. |
| | Company funded travel :) Business travel has dropped off a bit here, due to the economy, but I'm hoping it will pick up again as the economy recovers. Normally I get sent on some very cool and fun trips...and work pays for it! I like to tack on a few days of vacation so I can really explore. |
| | Exploring I aspire to be an exploring type of traveler. While I do want to see the grand sites, I am happier when I come across some cool place that may mean more to me. |
