The city of San José is the capital of Costa Rica. Located in the Central Valley, it is a place surrounded by the most variated forms of wildlife as well as volcanos (Poás and Irazú) and nature. It is also the central point from where you can reach their rich National Parks, their gorgeous beaches or its amazing rivers.
But San José has certain attraction on its own. Its warm people gives it the touch of life, something you can appreciate in their restaurants and nightlife. Some museums and buildings give away their colonial past and European artistic influences.
