This one shows the plane used in the first US MAIL flight from Tehachapi to Bakersfield, May 19, 1938!
On our way driving north to visit friends in the Yosemite area, we made plans to stop overnight to meet 'YAQUI'/Dee, who very graciously took the time to spend the evening with us and show us around this great town!
It is so full of history which has been lovingly, and well preserved. A full weekend or more could easily be spent here, enjoying the old west ambience.
