Harbour scene

The name of this town translates to "empty" but the place is not empty at all. Leer (pronunciation: "lehr") has a well preserved old town with beautiful houses, little shops and that special flair that invites for a stroll along the lanes and the port. My visit was short, it consisted of a half-day excursion from Emden, but I enjoyed it a lot.
