The small town of Denmark is situated near the mouth of Denmark River, which opens the lake-like Wilson Inlet before reaching the sea.

We stayed on that beautiful campground by the river, just 1.5 kms out of town (don't remember the exact name, sorry) and were lucky to get one of the sites by the water.

The sunrise the next morning was magical and unforgettable - see my travelogue page for pictures.

River and inlet are a paradise for water birds - and for bird watchers. Fishing and all kinds of water sports are popular among visitors.

Absolutely gorgeous travelogue! Been to a youth hostel in the foresty area which was full of hippies and other special people. Quite an experience it was!
