A very small spa town at the foot of the Palatinate Forest, with spa facilities, a cute little old town, a palace, and lots of vineyards around.

In the old town

Bad Bergzabern really isn't big. The important attractions can be covered in two hours even by a slow "I want to see as much as possible" visitor like me. Add time for the spa if you want, and time to sample the wines if you want. It is a good point to start or end a day hike due to its frequent public transport connections.

The surrounding landscape is pleasant with lots of hiking opportunities. The hills of the Palatinate Forest are a hiker's paradise.

Late tulips in Kurpark

It was Easter Monday when I visited. We are having an early spring this year, so there was not much left of the spring flowers apart from some beautiful tulips in the Kurpark.

Cute little town but indeed too small for a longer stay in a clinic! Nice seating in the courtyard of the restaurant.
