Artisans market in the abbey grounds at Pentecost

Bad Herrenalb is a tiny spa town in the Northern Black Forest, not far from Karlsruhe and actually connected to the city by tram. The town is cuddling into the upper end of the narrow Alb valley among hills and forests.

Kurpark and Kurhaus

The place is a nice option for a day trip, some hiking, seeing the remnants of the two monasteries, a walk in the Kurpark, a coffee and cake and a visit to the spa. Being stuck there for a four-week health treatment, however, might become a *bit* boring after a while...

Very nice page, brings back good memories! The winter pics are fascinating. Unfortunately the Protestant church was closed when we were there.

It's lovely to see a town in snow! Great picture with the fountain and also the forest path. Have only been to Frauenalb so far.
