I've been to San Diego twice. Once, back in 1993 for a business conference and then in 2005 for a golf and Chicago Cubs baseball weekend. As I wasn't a member of VT back then, I wasn't concerned with taking pictures and travel advice that I do now on any type of trip.

What I have here are just a few of the pictues I took that weekend. We played a golf course on Coronado Island our first day, but the highlight was playing here at Torrey Pines. Bring your "A" game if you plan to golf here. Play from the back tees if you want to feel like a pro (you won't score like one) but just enjoy the experience.

The more famous one is actually the 6th Hole on the North Course, but the final 2 days of the yearly Pro Tournament and the 2008 U.S. Open (won by Tiger Woods of course) are held on the South Course.

On the back nine we saw some paragliders and then I thought WOW that's crazy. Little did I realize that a little over 3 years later I would try and really enjoy this is Switzerland. Check it out.

    no golf for me, nor Seaworld, but did enjoy the Old City, Gastown and Mexican food 10 days back. Route 1 from SanF to San Diego was amazing ;-)
