"Learning About Biodynamics" Glen Ellen by riorich55

Trying to get a good read on the region of California called the "Wine Country", Sue and I did a fair amount of pre-trip research. Checking out numerous books for the local library, reviewing information on Virtual Tourist and even splurging and buying a tour book. Once we arrived we also always manage at least a good 10 to 15 pound bagful of literature which we get to look at some while on the trip, but more often then not see the things we saw and the many things we missed on our brief 2 day wine country adventure.

One of the areas we did want to stop by on our trip was Glen Ellen, a little town just north of Sonoma. I had wanted to stop in the Olive Press shop that was listed in several publications, but by the time we actually arrived in Glen Ellen around 3:20 p.m. on our 2nd and last full day in the wine country we only had time for one visit to the Benziger Family Winery.

Organic vs Biodynamic Farming

After an interesting journey from Oakville on the Napa Valley side to Glen Ellen on the Sonoma Valley side via the twisting and turning Trinity Road we arrived just barely in time to take the 3:30 p.m. tram tour which was the last one of the day.
