On The Other Side of the Tiber River

I guess I didn't think about it at all when we were in Rome, but we walked back and forth between 2 countries or at least a country and city-state several times during our 3 day stay in the area.

We specifically stayed near Vatican City because we knew that we would be spending almost an entire day visiting both the Cathedral and the Vatican Museums during our visit.

Briefly visited Vatican City a few years ago visiting the Basilica, sent some postcards with the Vatican City postmark, and bought holy cards (also a card about Benedict the 16th) and a couple rosaries. Never got in to see the Sistine Chapel so that is more than enough reason to go back there!!

We stayed at a very nice B & B literally down the street from Vatican City. The Sistine Chapel is very interesting to see in person. It helped that I had an audio guide and was able to sit down for 30 minutes while listening.
