Restaurant Name: Amalfi Pizzeria

I loved this restaurant near the Ottaviano metro. The pizza and the amalfi antipasto were some of the best dishes I've had while in Rome. Although my wife was kicking herself for not ordering a pizza because her pasta was not that good. It's not too pricey and there is no cover charge to sit. The inside is nice and clean and the service is very good with the owner taking the order and a couple of waiters attending to you. I give it a very satisfied revue just because my wife did not enjoy her pasta. It's between 25- 30 euros pp with a beer and no tip.

Favorite Dish: I really enjoyed my amalfi antipasto which consisted of prosciutto, melon, some bruschetta bread, bocconcini with tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella. a mini calzone and the piece de resistance eggplant meatballs. I also enjoyed my pizza lucifero, the salami was quite good.

Restaurant Name: La Carbonara

A Friday night in Campo Di Fiore, my favourite piazza in Rome, and we found ourselves eating at La Carbonara. This is a great restaurant although a little pricey but they do not have a cover charge. The food is very good and very abundant. The ambience is really great out on the patio, you really get the sense of Italy there. Musicians serenade the patio with their great music while you eat. It opens every night at 1930. It's about 40 euros pp with a litre of wine and a beer and no tip.

Favorite Dish: I had the tagliloni with porcini mushrooms which was very good and my wife raved about the spaghetti bolognese.

Restaurant Name: Il Piccolo Buco

Here you get the feel of a family run restaurant with momma cooking in the kitchen and her children waiting on tables. It is a small restaurant but is very good. It's about 30 euros pp with a beer and the tip is already included.

Favorite Dish: I had the risotto al salmone which was terrific and my wife really liked her 4 cheese pizza and her breasola.

Favorite Dish: The potato pizza is awesome and any pizza a la taglia in Rome makes it and each time its so good!
