Welcome to Li jiang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site | Monument at the old town entrance |
My whole trip to southwest China was originated by a conversation I had one year before with a young couple of British backpackers of Chinese descent. We were in the northern hills of Thailand, looking at a big map of the region, and they pin-pointed this town of Li jiang which I had never heard about before. They told me they had been there once, and enthusiastically recommended I visited it next time. |
