| Golden pavillion of Kinkaku-ji temple |
First, I was in Kyoto for a day to see the Gion Matsuri, a major festival. Two years later, I went again and stayed five days, with the intention of visiting all the famous sights of this city. By the second day I realized it was imposible, so I had to choose my priorities. As I like hiking very much, two of the days I spent them in the mountains: one in Mt. Hiei, from Ohara town to the Enryaku-ji temple complex, and one in Mt. Atago, which has a shrine at the summit.
I'll write about everything when I have time... Come again in a couple of years! :-) |
