Seafood Sensation: Fresh seafood from fishing boat

A boat that sells takeaway seafood docked along other side of Victoria dock from Mures. There's a row of benches at the back where u can sit and look into the scenery of the dock and beyond.

Mures Seafood Rstaurant: Seafood by the dock!

Located in the middle of the Victoria Dock. Mures is divided into upper and lower deck. Lower deck is bistro style and the prices are cheaper whereas the upper deck is more for fine dining as it provides a good view of the Victoria Dock.

During the 1.5years I was in Tasmania from 2001 - 2002, I noticed that the restaurant’s prices is going up. If u decide to eat there.. must try it’s fisherman’s basket. The scallops in the basket are marvellously succulent! It’s double scoop icecream which is more economical than the single scoop and pretty nice.. oysters are relatively cheap too..

There's a small market area at the lower deck where you can buy the seafood fresh for cooking at home
