Madrid seemed to me to be intimidating,but that may have been my first encounter with being accused of trying to pass off counterfiet euros
It seemed too big a city for me and because of my limited spanish i was not getting any help from the locals
Decided to leave Madrid on the fast train south,stopping at small towns on the way and grew to love Spain and the small white towns of the region
Loved the food,drink,shopping,beautiful scenery that in part is so much like Australia where i live.
If i travelled Spain again i would hire a car,but in saying that i thought there rail system was great
